The Flower Drum Song was written by C.Y. Lee and published by Farrar Straus and Cudahy, 1957. The author, C.Y. Lee, and publisher, John Farrar, gave personalized copies of the novel to the cast of Flower Drum Song on opening night, December 1, 1958. This copy belonged to Rose Quong and was purchased on Ebay.
